Ombre Ornaments

The holidays are here, and that means it’s time to decorate your trees! I love ornaments, but I hate how expensive complete sets can be. So, I created an ombre set of ornaments for $2 using some plain glass ornaments and acrylic paint from Michael’s Crafts!  Want to learn how to make your own set as well? It’s easy!

What You’ll Need:

Plain Glass Ornaments
Acrylic Paint
Puffy Paint (if you want to decorate the outside)

Twine/Ribbon/Ornament Hangers

The Steps:

1. Pour paint into your glass ornament until it is about 1/3rd of the way full. To achieve an ombre effect add white paint to your mixture each time you fill your ornament.

2. Swirl the paint around the ornament until all of the glass is covered.

3. Let it dry for an hour or two and replace the top of the ornament.

4. If you choose, decorate the outside with puffy paint.

5. Hang and enjoy!

Use your favorite color schemes to decorate your tree this holiday season! Ornaments are 50% off at Michael’s, so get them while they’re hot!

Happy holidays all!
