Halloween Butter Cookie Recipe

I seriously love sweets. I love everything about them… except for baking them on my own. I never thought I was a good baker. However, recently I stumbled across an old family recipe and decided to dedicate a rainy Sunday to trying it out. Β Plus, Halloween is next weekend, so what better way to arrive at a Halloween party than with a plate full of fun Halloween cookies!? Want a fun and easy recipe for your Halloween party? Try this one on for size!

Β What You’ll Need:
4 Cups Flour
11/2 Cups Softened Butter
11/2Β Cups Sugar
2 Eggs
2 Tablespoons Vanilla Extract
1 Teaspoon Salt
Halloween Cookie Cutters
Halloween Sprinkles

The Steps:

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.

2. Β Add flour and butter to mixer with flat mixing tool.

3. Mix on medium speed.

4. Gradually add eggs, sugar, vanilla, salt.

5. Continue to mix until batter becomes dough-like in texture. Scrape the sides of the bowl as you mix to make sure all ingredients are added.

6. Once batter is dough-like in consistency, remove from mixer.

7. Find a large area to use as a rolling and cutting station (I chose my dining room table).

8. After sanitizing the area, pour flour onto the flat surface and begin to roll out the dough.

9. Once rolled, use your Halloween shaped cookie cutters to create cute seasonal- shaped cookies.

10. Place your cookies on a non-stick (or lightly greased) pan or cooking sheet.

11. Bake in oven until cookies become golden brown on the edges.

12. Enjoy!

These cookies are actually pretty simple to make (take it from the girl who NEVER bakes)!

I cannot wait to make these for every family holiday! Butter cookies are seriously one of the most timeless recipes! Why not spend a rainy Sunday making cookies? I know I’m going to start making it a fun weekend thing!
