DIY Dog Treat Jar (A Container Store Knockoff)

I hope everyone had a happy New Year! Twenty-fourteen ended on a high note for me! I aced all of my finals, spent time with family, and even introduced a puppy to our home (his name is Titan and he is an Alaskan Klee Kai)! Now that I have a puppy, I am crazy about making fun puppy projects! I’ve been looking for a cute way to store all of his treats (we’ve bought tons of them) since we got him. So, when I stumbled upon a cute puppy jar at The Container Store, I naturally thought, “how fun would it be to make my own!?” The project was so simple, and was perfect for a lazy Monday afternoon!

As always, my favorite motto is, “I can make that”. So can you!

The Original Product:

I found this jar at The Container Store! It runs for about $10 for a large one. My own mason jar project cost me around $3 to complete.

What You’ll Need:

Bell Mason Jar (plain, no markings)

Paint Pen

The Steps:

Just one! Use a paint pen to draw cute puppy paws on your mason jar. Once it’s dry, store your partner in crime’s favorite treats!

Simple DIY projects can really make an impact. I love that this jar was hand-drawn! Do you have any cute pet projects to share? I’d love to see them! Tag them as #diyhuntress on Instagram or post them to my Facebook wall!

Now it’s time to hang with my new best friend! “DIY Pup” Titan and I wish you all a very Happy New Year!
