DIY Rolling Shoe Bin

Spring is here.. and usually that phrase is followed by, “it’s time to clean and organize my home”! But, since moving into a studio apartment, cleaning and organizing has a new meaning for me, since we are so short on space! I have no choice but to leverage the space I have! So, to help with creative organization, I partnered with my friends at Kreg and BuildSomething.com to create custom rolling bins to store my shoes… and you can to! Even better, if you’re looking to start a new hobby this Spring, this a great build for beginner woodworkers!

Just because space is limited, doesn’t mean you have to feel stuck. When closet space becomes cramped, it’s time to think outside of the box (or, in box-form in this instance). So, if you’re like me and your closet looks like this on a good day:

Get creative, and make it a custom new look!

Want to see how easy it is to create custom storage for your closet floor? Here’s how… (p.s. if you’d like to skip the step-by-step, head on over to BuildSomething.com for the FREE PDF plans, full cut list, and list of products and tools needed for the build)!*

* Disclaimer: The dimensions used in this project are for my own closet needs. Make sure to measure your own closet to customize your build.

The Steps:

1. Cut all of  your pieces (find full cut list here).
