Spring is here.. and usually that phrase is followed by, “it’s time to clean and organize my home”! But, since moving into a studio apartment, cleaning and organizing has a new meaning for me, since we are so short on space! I have no choice but to leverage the space I have! So, to help with creative organization, I partnered with my friends at Kreg and BuildSomething.com to create custom rolling bins to store my shoes… and you can to! Even better, if you’re looking to start a new hobby this Spring, this a great build for beginner woodworkers!

Want to see how easy it is to create custom storage for your closet floor? Here’s how… (p.s. if you’d like to skip the step-by-step, head on over to BuildSomething.com for the FREE PDF plans, full cut list, and list of products and tools needed for the build)!*
* Disclaimer: The dimensions used in this project are for my own closet needs. Make sure to measure your own closet to customize your build.

2. Attach front and back panels with pocket hole screws and glue.
3. Attach side pieces to front and back panels with pocket hole screws and glue.
4. Attach bottom slats.
5. Sand and stain your bins. I used the following wood stain:
Now, store those shoes!
