Thrifting is fun… but, thrifting with friends is even MORE fun (even when they live in another country). This week my friend DIY Danie and I decided to surprise each other with Facebook Marketplace finds to flip, and the results of both projects turned out EPIC. I am so excited to share this project with you!

I am so excited about today’s project, because today I am collaborating with one of my favorite people ever, DIY Danie! For those of you that don’t know Danie, she is a content creator from Canada (and easily one of the most creative people I’ve ever met). Danie and I have been planning a collaboration for a while, but with travel restrictions still in place, we decided to do it from afar. We sent each other a box filled with random items from our homes to make DIY projects with, and it was epic! Ready to see how this thrift flip challenge turned out? Let’s do it!
I partnered up with a group of amazingly talented makers this holiday season to makeover a nightstand for a Thrift Flip Collaboration to raise money for Habitat For Humanity this holiday season! I get asked about tips for restoring and making ver furniture all the time, and thought this would be a great opportunity to share my process! I also got my hands on some new tools to make projects like this more approachable, and cannot wait to share!
I recently partnered up with my insanely talented friend DIY Danie to partake in a thrift-flip challenge where we each sent a box filled with items that were thrifted from our own homes! Well, one of the items that Danie sent me was a large roll of blue velvet fabric, and I knew that I had to make a bench from it! This project only took me one weekend to create and was so much fun to make come to life!
