Every year I try to convince myself that I’m not a plant murderer. But this year is different. I’m really going to keep my plants alive this time (Scout’s Honor)! I’ve been wanted to start a small garden in front of my shop for-ev-er. So, when my friends at Kreg & BuildSomething asked me to build an outdoor project with them, I was stoked! Now I have a spot for my lavender, rosemary, and pretty purple things!
I’m all about minimal, modern living at this point in my life. So, I wanted to create a planter that matched my modern style, but was still large enough to remind me to water my plants. The planter is made of cedar (which is definitely on the pricey side), but it will stay beautiful for a while and was worth the splurge!
Also, just a heads up! These pieces of cedar were too large for regular mitered joints, so I finally got a chance to break in the bevel cut on my miter saw! If you’ve been looking to do the same, this project is definitely for you!
