Michael’s Pinterest Party Crafts

Michaels Crafts and Hometalk have given me the opportunity to recreate two of their most popular Pinterest crafts and teach YOU how to make them yourselves – a mason jar and painted canvas! On February 16, from 1-4pm at Michaels Crafts in Oceanside, New York, I will be hosting a Pinterest party for all interested in attending! I cannot explain how excited I am to craft with all of you for an afternoon! Oh… did I mention that you can win prizes for attending? Now I have your attention!

7 years agoAt some point that you experienced, you have likely thought
we would breakup with an old sofa, coffee table, or chest of drawers.
In most cases, there’s nothing wrong with all the piece under consideration; it really no more fits
your home or style-or space or kind of your new spouse.
Opt to Sell
Often during the process of choosing the new item, the conversation turns from what to do while using old one.
Selling is obviously an alternative. However, that endeavor could be more trouble
than it’s worth. Do you sell online or host a garage sale?
Either way, rarely does the owner get anything close to the item’s
retail value.
Donate to Your Community
A better option for several is to simply donate the unwanted
furniture. In addition to taking the piece off your hands,
whether it’s a good deed at the very least, or
potentially obviously any good tax disregard.
Most people do not realize that lots of charitable
organizations collect used furniture, in some cases, providing gently used furniture to the people in
need, or in other cases, refinishing and selling it to raise money to aid their community efforts.
Everyone has heard the old adage, “One man’s trash is yet another man’s treasure.” How nice to know
that together with cleaning space in your home, your donation can help settle and support children or provide much-needed
financial assistance to an organization that works to stretch every dollar.
It almost doesn’t get much easier to invest within your community!
Consider the Environmental Impact
If this is still insufficient to convince you,
look at the environmental impact. If every old armchair or table was merely discarded, imagine each of the landfills that
could subsequently be full of used furniture. You are only doing yourself along with the planet an email finder service if you instead decide to give new
life fot it old furniture.
Once you’ve made the choice to donate, you’ll need to be diligent to find out
what organizations in your area are accepting used furniture, if they
grab or they might need a drop off. Once you coordinate that they will receive those items, make sure you inquire
if you can have a receipt to your tax-deductible donation.
It may also be worthwhile to take into consideration organizing a group effort,
urging others within your office, church, or community
to participate and host a donation drive.
Finally, should you be already on-site donating to your secondhand
shop, consider looking around to determine what others have offered that you could use.
Something they let go of could be just what you are considering to perform your eyesight.
Purchasing from all of these types of stores is just as helpful as
donating. You’re supporting an underlying cause and
keeping cast off items from ending up in a landfill.
Who knew used furniture could possibly be so valuable!
Whatever you decide, just knowing the options could be each
of the freedom you should redecorate that space.
