In case Mother Nature (or, if you’re like me, your allergies) hasn’t told you yet, Spring is in full force! Warmer weather and longer days mean time for outdoor projects, and I couldn’t be more excited! If you’ve been following my journey on Instagram, you’ll know that I am in the middle of a huge shed-shop renovation. Which means it’s time to spice up the exterior of the shop to look as pretty as the rest of my parents’ yard! So, I partnered up with my friends at The Home Depot and Olympic to create a pair of modern slat wood planters and made some magic happen!
I recently got a chance to renovate my parent’s guest room and turn it into a combination guest space and home office for my mom. But, with work from home culture still going strong, my dad was feeling a bit bummed that his space was so cluttered. So, to help him out I tackled a DIY mudroom & home office makeover to give him a space to work too! Here’s how I made it happen!
I recently partnered up with my insanely talented friend DIY Danie to partake in a thrift-flip challenge where we each sent a box filled with items that were thrifted from our own homes! Well, one of the items that Danie sent me was a large roll of blue velvet fabric, and I knew that I had to make a bench from it! This project only took me one weekend to create and was so much fun to make come to life!
I am so excited about today’s project, because today I am collaborating with one of my favorite people ever, DIY Danie! For those of you that don’t know Danie, she is a content creator from Canada (and easily one of the most creative people I’ve ever met). Danie and I have been planning a collaboration for a while, but with travel restrictions still in place, we decided to do it from afar. We sent each other a box filled with random items from our homes to make DIY projects with, and it was epic! Ready to see how this thrift flip challenge turned out? Let’s do it!
