If you’ve been following my Shed-Shop Series on my website and YouTube, you’ll know that one of the most exciting parts of my shop build was customizing the space to make it feel like home. Because the build was so stressful, I was looking for an easy and beautiful way to make an impact, so I partnered up with Plank & Mill to add their reclaimed barn wood to my shop walls. Now I have an awesome backdrop for my blog posts & videos – here’s how I did it (you can also see a video tutorial of this project as well)!
This past spring, my parents sold my childhood home, which meant I was left without a workshop as my workshop was in a shed in their backyard… and since I live in studio apartment, I was stranded without a place to run my business or build projects! So, this summer my dad and I partnered up with my incredible friends at The Home Depot to build a 12×12 shed from a DIY Shed Kit and turn that shed into my new workshop. Welcome to the first blog post in my Shed-Shop Series – How to Build a Shed!

What I would have done to get that extra bathroom as a kid… Despite being a bit jelly beans of my parents’ new living situation, I decided to stop being bitter and give them a cute housewarming gift! I partnered with my awesome friends at HANDy Paint Products to create a custom herringbone address sign for their front porch!
