Holiday season is in full swing! Which means fun gift ideas and holiday songs until you’re dizzy off of eggnog and happiness! Speaking of gift ideas, gift cards are great holiday present, but let’s face it, they’re also not the most creative option. Coming from someone who loves giving creative gifts, this poses a huge problem for me. So, I was really excited when my good friends at The Home Depot asked me to come up

DIY Retro Side Table

FEATURED

Let’s be real. I am the uncrowned queen of losing the remote. I swear the bed eats it every night and it’s totally not my fault. At this point, it’s getting a bit ridiculous and my other half is ready to tape it to my hand. I need my hands though, so instead of tape, I came up with a better idea; I decided to take some cash out of my yoga teaching fund and create a cute retro-styled side table to house my important gadgets.  Plus side, mid century modern and retro furniture are coming back into style. DIY Geometric Wood Art Table

FEATURED

Lately I’ve been seeing the coolest geometric wood art all over the place. Frankly, I am all about it. I have been drooling over the countless art pieces I’ve seen come across my feed lately, and decided it was time to make my own. So, being that “Woodworking Wednesdays” (also known as, my day off which is spent in the shop) is a thing until the end of August, I took a few hours today to create my own geometric wood art table. It cost less than $40 to make… and it’s pretty awesome.

Over the past week or so I have been teasing a fun build on Snapchat and Instagram. Well, today is finally the day I get to share the big reveal! Even better, I’m also offering free woodworking plans, courtesy of Kreg and Build Something so that you can build your own! I created a fun, rustic entryway bench with room for storage and a trendy “X” design. Best part is, the entire project is made from 2×4’s and one 2×2. Bonus win, the wood for this project cost me right around $30! Not bad for a big and practical build!
