Easy Small Living Room Makeover For My Brother

My brother bought a house! As you know we’ve been working on re-doing my brother’s first home and I got to surprise him yet again with this living room makeover. We’re actually completely re-doing the downstairs portion of his house down to the studs, so while that’s happening we’re freshening up the upstairs space to make it livable through the renovations. For this project we’re not spending a ton of time or money since eventually the plan is for their main living space to be downstairs, and you’ll have to stay tuned to see how it all shakes out. DIY Luxury Tiny Home on Wheels Part 2: Exterior

I am so excited for this van build. Last week I shared the demo portion of the project and now it’s time to officially start work on building this van out into the luxury tiny home of my dreams. Before I can get started on the interior and all of the design elements I’m excited about, I have to get the exterior situated. We’re talking a roof rack for solar panels, climate control, and a fan that will live on top of the van, and we're also adding window flares in the back. I am so ready to get this build going, let’s get started friends.

DIY Luxury Tiny Home on Wheels Part 1: Demo

As if one home wasn’t enough, I’ve decided to renovate a tiny home– on wheels! Yes you read that right, I’m turning a cargo van into a luxury apartment; complete with a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, garage, and a kitchen/hangout spot. This is no small task and although it is a small space…only 64 square feet, I’ve only got 5 months to get it all done. Why such a rush? My other half is competing in the National Championships for cycling and this will be our ride and our home while he competes. This race is halfway across the country so we’re prioritizing comfort and of course bike storage. Here’s the plan and the demo process, there’s a ton to do so let’s get started friends!

You Don’t Need a Table Saw

It might sound a little dramatic, but truly you don’t need a table saw. Don’t get me wrong, I get a ton of use out of mine and I really love it. But there was a long time before I got this saw that I had to find other ways to break down materials. The table saw can also be a really intimidating tool and if you don’t feel ready to use a one there are other options out there for you. So don’t let anyone tell you that you have to have a table saw to DIY, I’m going to show you a handful of other tools you can use in place of a table saw and a few of the projects I completed using them.
