Fourth of July is right around the corner, and I’ll be celebrating America’s independence in the most patriotic way possible – a backyard BBQ and listening to the Hamilton album on repeat (okay, maybe that’s just me). But for real, backyard BBQ’ing will be commencing, so that means we’re going to need somewhere to hold our adult (and kid) beverages. I spent some time in the shop this week creating a distressed, patriotic beverage cooler to show off at the party I’ll be attending. It only required a few simple tools and two afternoons to create!
In a few days it will officially be summer! Summer means a lot of crazy, cool things: wedding season, prom, Father’s Day is this weekend, parties with friends, backyard BBQ’s (I never say no to those). Let’s face it though, all of these events are awesome, but they mean one thing – you’re going to need something cool to wear. That’s where I come in. I’ve been obsessed with the wooden bow tie trend and have officially decided to hop on board. These puppies were mega easy to make and didn’t require any sewing on my part (mostly because I suck at sewing). Also, I got to use my extra large scrap pile for the job; so, bonus points for me.
Thanksgiving is officially over, which means let the holiday season commence! I don’t know about you guys, but I am super stoked about this holiday season. Last weekend my family and I set out to the eastern tip of Long Island to chop down our Christmas tree, and since then I’ve been sporting a festive attitude! This week, with the help of some of my awesome partners, I was able to create a super simple holiday project for you guys, and I’m so excited to share! In fact, this project was so big it’s actually two-in-one!
