DIY Geometric Wood Art Table

Lately I’ve been seeing the coolest geometric wood art all over the place. Frankly, I am all about it. I have been drooling over the countless art pieces I’ve seen come across my feed lately, and decided it was time to make my own. So, being that “Woodworking Wednesdays” (also known as, my day off which is spent in the shop) is a thing until the end of August, I took a few hours today to create my own geometric wood art table. It cost less than $40 to make… and it’s pretty awesome.

Over the past week or so I have been teasing a fun build on Snapchat and Instagram. Well, today is finally the day I get to share the big reveal! Even better, I’m also offering free woodworking plans, courtesy of Kreg and Build Something┬áso that you can build your own! I created a fun, rustic entryway bench with room for storage and a trendy “X” design. Best part is, the entire project is made from 2×4’s and one 2×2. Bonus win, the wood for this project cost me right around $30! Not bad for a big and practical build!

I cannot begin to tell you how long I have been in the market for a cute rustic wood topped dresser. They are just SO expensive to purchase though! After being inspired by a few Pinterest posts, I decided it was time to create my own using some leftover pallets in my backyard. The dresser itself was from Ikea and cost me $150, but the wood was FREE and the additional stain and pull updates
