Dream Home Office – Part 2

In my last blog post I started the makeover for my attic home office by taking down a half wall, putting in new flooring, painting the walls and upgrading the lighting to smart lighting. But there was still so much to do. My friend Charlotte from @atcharlotteshouse came to help me finish this project and another awesome friend swooped in at the last moment too. Building an Easy Floating Cabinet From Plywood

When we first bought our house we had a super creepy and damp basement. But I turned it into a severely under used, but beautiful…storage space! Yes sarcasm. You can actually see how I refinished the basement in this blog post I wrote about it. But it was finally time to move our home gym out of the spare bedroom it was occupying. And because the basement was waiting for something more interesting, the gym was headed downstairs. Of course this included the giant entertainment system that my husband uses to train and the logistics to make that work. So to start off this big home gym relocation project I built a floating shelf cabinet system to house our massive TV and so I can easily clean under it. This is the start of quite the adventure friends!

I Challenged My Dad to a Build Off

Inspired by Jon at Lincoln St. Woodworks, my dad and I challenged each other to a build off. He has always wanted to make a river table and I had a slab lying around that needed to be made into a coffee table. So I called up my friends at Total Boat and asked if we could crash their shop. It was such a fun trip and we probably enjoyed competing with each other a little too much. But I’m so proud of how our projects turned out and can’t wait to do something like this again!

From Small Bedroom to DIY Home Gym

As you may or may not know my other half is a cyclist, he even owns his own bike shop. But in the winter he needs a space to train indoors. He had his bike in our spare bedroom and he was using his phone to watch training sessions. The room had things everywhere and he really needed a better setup. So I took this standard small bedroom and turned it into the perfect pain cave, complete with a custom entertainment and organization system. Here’s how I did it!
