Can you believe that it has been 3 years since my dad and I built my shed-shop!? The past 3 years have been so amazing in this little 12 x 12 workshop, but it was finally time to give it the love that it deserves! When we built the shop, it matched the existing siding color on my parents’ home. But, since then, they’ve replaced the siding to add a beautiful grey color… needless to say the shop started to stick out like a sore thumb. So, I decided to paint it! Painting a shed is a super easy process, and it made a huge impact on the entire yard! So, here’s how I painted the shed!
My shed-shop makeover feels like it’s taking an eternity to get through, but I’m finally making some more progress! Last time I shared an update it was for my brand new concrete accent well. Today, I’m tackling the flooring! I installed some waterproof vinyl plank flooring in my shop! This was my first time installing vinyl planks and I am seriously so floored (#punintended) with how it turned out!
After two and a half years in my shed-shop (I cannot believe it’s been that long already), it is finally time for a shakeup in this little space. The past few years in here have been incredible, but it’s getting a little crowded in here. I also underestimated just how big my little business would grow in this space (thanks to all of you)! So, it’s time to make this shed work better as a workshop and a space to document my content with all of you… starting with my tool wall! I’ve been wanted to create a DIY concrete accent wall in my life for a while now, so why not do it in the workshop! This is a project that works well for any space (not just a workshop), and I can’t wait to show you how I made it happen!
It’s a new month, which means that it’s time for December’s tool school (if you’re new here, I host a Tool School on the first Tuesday of each month)! Today I’ll be tackling a tool that has been requested by a whole bunch of people – the table saw! I’ll be breaking down the details in this Table Saw 101 post and then demoing the proper way to make intro cut son a table saw on Instagram (so, be sure to check it out)!
