But, I swear this one dropped right into my lap (or really, my iPhone) and it was too perfect not to try. When I saw that West Elm was essentially selling pallet wood trays for right around $100, I nearly fell out of my chair and rolled into fetal position.

When my friends at The Home Depot asked me to participate in their 2016 DIY Challenge, I was stoked! But, then they told me that my surprise material was millwork… what. Honestly, the only time I’ve ever used millwork from Home Depot was fixing the moulding in our home. So, needless to say, my feelings of excitement turned to feelings of pure fear. Luckily, I’m kind of crazy, and decided to go to my local store to stare at the millwork section for a bit. That’s when I came up with this X-Base Lamp!
