Easy Deck Makeover & Privacy Wall Part 2

In the first part of my deck makeover I demoed the railings, the lattice, and the staircase, then refinished the deck boards and built an enclosure for the bottom of the deck. Once all of that was done it was time to really turn this deck into the backyard oasis I had alwasy dreamed of. In this half of the project I’ll be adding a privacy wall and building a railing to match the modern look of the bottom of the deck. We'll finish it off by adding furniture and styling the space for entertaining.

It might sound a little dramatic, but truly you don’t need a table saw. Don’t get me wrong, I get a ton of use out of mine and I really love it. But there was a long time before I got this saw that I had to find other ways to break down materials. The table saw can also be a really intimidating tool and if you don’t feel ready to use a one there are other options out there for you. Making a Dining Room out of a Tiny Space

If you’ve been following along lately you’ll remember that my brother recently bought his first house. We surprised him with a bedroom makeover while he was out of town and it was definitely the best surprise we've had on the channel. You can see his reaction both on the blog and in the video. But now that the bedroom is done I wanted to help give them a dining room space that’s cozy and perfect for entertaining. This time, I made my brother part of the project too. It’s always good to teach the little bro a few things from his big sis! Enjoy this transformation, there truly is no space too small for a big change.
