Home Depot DIY Challenge: X-Base Lamp

DIY_Huntress_X_Base_Lamp-3
When my friends at The Home Depot asked me to participate in their 2016 DIY Challenge, I was stoked! But, then they told me that my surprise material was millwork… what. Honestly, the only time I’ve ever used millwork from Home Depot was fixing the moulding in our home. So, needless to say, my feelings of excitement turned to feelings of pure fear. Luckily, I’m kind of crazy, and decided to go to my local store to stare at the millwork section for a bit. That’s when I came up with this X-Base Lamp!

The “x” style has been trending on my blog recently, I just can’t get enough! Now my lamp matches the desk it’s sitting on, and I couldn’t be happier. Plus, if it taught me anything, it’s that you can make something cool out of literally anything.

If you want to see how I made my lamp (and maybe even make your own), be sure to check out the full tutorial on The Home Depot Blog today!

Until next time…

Hi! I love this lamp! I was wondering where you found your lamp shade and what size it is. Everything I’ve seen looks either too big or too small. Thank you for the great tutorial!

Hi Rachael! I found this specific lamp shade at Target. I’d have to get the exact dimensions for you. I’ll get back to you ASAP!
