Easy Weekend Projects To Tackle Before The Fall

Easy Weekend Projects To Tackle Before The Fall

I’ve been on a mission to show people that you really can make beautiful furniture with limited tools. You don’t have to have the fanciest power tools in order to be a woodworker.

If you’re looking for some quick and simple projects to make before the summer slips away, I’ve got a few projects for you. They’ll elevate your space and be the perfect way to flex your DIY muscles without spending a fortune, or more than your weekend on them.

Whether you’re building a cabinet, a door or a table, these projects prove that creativity and a couple of trusty tools are all you really need. Let’s get started and make something awesome!

1. Marble Coffee Table

This marble coffee table hack is one of my favorite projects. I spotted a $1,000 designer table and knew I could recreate it for way less in just a couple of days and using only three power tools.

It’s budget-friendly, easy to knock out, and brings a high-end look without the high-end price tag. Perfect for giving your space a little refresh before we start swapping out iced coffee for PSLs.

2. $10K Barn Door

This is one of my favorite hacks, when I saw a door online priced at nearly $10,000, I knew I could build it for a lot less. So I made my own version with a $1,500 budget

Whether you want to refresh a doorwar or add architectural drama to your space, this door shows that high end style doesn’t have to drain your wallet. It’s the kind of project you’ll be proud to say you made!

3. 3 Tool Cabinet

If you’ve got a circular saw, a drill/driver, and a sander you have everything you need to make this cabinet! I built the entire thing with only those three tools and optional accessories, no fancy joinery, and no table saw required.

It’s the kind of project that proves great design doesn’t require a bunch of gear, and yes, you can build furniture you’re proud of using only what you’ve got.

When someone tells you that you’re not a “real woodworker” because you DIY with limited tools, these projects are the answer. You don’t need more than a weekend and you definitely don’t need expensive tools.

As long as you’ve got the essential tools to get the job done you can make awesome furniture you’re proud of. So go create something cool this weekend before the long days fade away.
