It’s time friends, the weather has warmed up and I’m making the call, cold weather is officially done. So I’m celebrating with some Springtime projects that will get you outside to enjoy the beautiful shift in seasons and all of the blooming plants. I’ve put together 5 projects that will help your plants grow, and give you the ultimate garden hangout space, because the plants aren’t the only ones who want to spend their free time outside.

1. Cedar planter with hose storage
I love these planters because they are functional and they also look nice. They’re made out of cedar, which we know is a durable wood for outside furniture, and they give you the perfect storage spot for your watering hose so you don’t have a tangled mess lying around all the time. It’s a super beginner friendly project and you can customize them to fit your space.
2. Sunroom Makeover
Now if you want to bring your love of gardening inside your house, you might just need a sun room with a planting station. I re-did this space at my brother’s house to give them a place to work on their gardening hobby, and a place where he can relax and enjoy. This was a simple and quick project, where a little creativity made a big impact on this room.
3. Smokeless Fire Pit
If you’re the kind of gardener who appreciates working in the garden to help the plants grow but who also wants to hangout in the outdoor space to enjoy the literal fruits of you labor, a smokeless fire pit setup is for you. This is another project you can tackle on a weekend and you’ll be enjoying it before the weekend is over. All it took was some paver blocks, a smokeless fire pit and some decor accents and you’ve got yourself a great outdoor hangout spot.
4. Wooden Outdoor Bar
This project might get more use in the summer, but you’ll want to build it in the spring so you can be enjoying it in the warmer months. I love having an outdoor bar with great counter space for serving and storage underneath. It’s the ideal setup, and the construction is completely achievable for a beginning DIYer. Don’t mind if I grab myself a beverage after a long day of working outside!
5. Chevron Cedar Bench
Every good garden needs a bench right? I think so and I love this one because it’s made of cedar and the chevron pattern gives it characterl. It’s not your run of the mill, plain old bench that you hardly notice, it offers seating and it’s modern look provides great contrast to a blooming garden.
